Greg Gerla - Biography
Greg Gerla’s photography varies from abstract and minimal to a graphic representational style. Its focal juxtaposition evokes the emotional and organic. His attention to composition and mood is evident in his photographs. Referencing the environment, Gerla uses depth and perception to investigate the visual relationships forged between natural and man-made spaces. A graduate of Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD), Greg has had his photography exhibited locally and internationally. He currently maintains his studio practice in Calgary, AB, and is an instructor with the Design/Photography Department at ACAD.
