Join us in celebrating the 12th annual InFocus Photo Exhibit & Awards!

We invited photographers from around the world to submit to InFocus Photo Exhibit & Awards 2026 with the theme “The Space Between” — a celebration of ambiguity, transition, and the unseen threads that shape our world and tie us together. We curated photos that challenge, question, and illuminate the liminal: the emotional gaps, the silent pauses, the overlooked details, and the beauty that exists in uncertainty and temporality. This is an open theme, open and expansive, leaning towards those things that can’t be explained, only felt. The exhibit presents visual poetry.

InFocus Photo Exhibit 2026 takes place at three arts friendly venues: In Edmonton at Wild Skies Art Gallery located in the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel, and in Stony Plain at the Red Brick Common Public Art Gallery and the Town of Stony Plain Office.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that the Exposure Photography Festival is situated on land adjacent to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. The traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Moh’kins’tsis”, which we now call the City of Calgary. This is the traditional Treaty 7 territory of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. It is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We honour and acknowledge all Nations, who live, work and play in Moh’kins’tsis, help steward this land, and honour and celebrate this territory.
