Body and soul is a visceral, phenomenological experience. Its not about the traditional way of seeing, viewing or experiencing. Its not about the traditional depiction of the human body or the world around it. Rather, this exhibition seeks to evoke an emotional response from the viewer, a deep seated non-verbal, almost primitive, reaction, such as one might feel when faced by the sublime. Scott Ault portrays the body with a nuanced interpretation appreciative of the veracity of the human form, rather than serving abeyance to acceptable social constructs. Lenora Elkin shoots the world around her, fully cognizant and involved in mindful observance of what is often missed.
This exhibit is open to adults 18 and over, as there are representations of the uncensored human form.
