Enjoy a day of discovery with nationally accredited, award-winning and colourblind landscape photographer David Wilder as he sings tales from the open road. Learn about planning each step of the way, down to the smallest detail, so you can concentrate on the bigger picture.
Covering topics like location scouting, travelling with gear, airline restrictions, research techniques. Find out the method behind David's extreme organization, planning routes, booking travel and how to save or where to invest. He will touch on ideas like the ideal gear choices, having a vision before arriving, back up plans and the freedom to deviate from those plans. Discussing the photographers' code of conduct and landscape/wildlife ethics. Finally, what seminar would be complete without everyone's favourite topic photography techniques, learn how David gets his shot every time.
About the Photographer:
Award-winning, nationally accredited and published landscape photographer David Wilder has spent the better part of two decades honing his craft. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion that finally transformed into a career in the visual art field. David started photography with his grandparents' film camera developing his vision; throughout his teens and early 20’s he advanced his skills primarily through self-taught discovery. Not only does David have a passion for photography, but he is also passionate about the planet, the impact we have on it as humans and the responsibility we as photographers have to protect, promote and preserve the wonders of the world. Today his work decorates the walls of private collectors and galleries, commercial brands and publications around the world. He splits his time between travelling the world in search of beautiful vistas and passing on his love and knowledge of photography through leading workshops worldwide.
